paparazzi is a dirty word.

It snowed here all weekend, which was fun. Tonight I decided to take another photo of my house since the snow makes it look a little more like a Christmas scene. I set up the tripod and used a 30 second exposure while walking up my driveway and firing the flash at the snow to light it up. And then I played with this shot in photoshop to really spice it up.

Last Sunday around lunch time a hawk landed in my front yard. This Sunday around lunch time a hawk landed in a tree near my driveway.
I went outside tonight to get a few photos of the Christmas tree and lights I've set up. I didn't realize how nice everything looked under the moonlight until I was out there. It's cold (19 degrees), but it really was nice to be outside for the twenty minutes I was photographing the house. And then just before I stepped back inside a shooting star blazed across the sky for a couple of seconds. Is seeing a shooting star good luck, or are you supposed to make a wish?
... and when I say play, I mean this hawk swooped out of a tree to grab some small animal for lunch.
My eventual goal with this website is to set it up to feature all of my creative outlets instead of only focusing on the photography. So you could say this is a first step in that direction.
This year I've decided to record some instrumental versions of Christmas songs and I've got the first one done. I spent about a week working out the arrangement and recording "The First Noel" and I'm happy with how it came out.
Currenty I'm working on "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" and I should have that finished up in a couple of days.
