Finally the weather was nice enough to show off the foliage. There's been a string of rainy days and wind that has combined to strip the trees of colored leaves so far. For a couple of weeks there have been trees that have no leaves on them and trees that only have green leaves, but now there's some good color showing up near where I live.
And then after getting some foliage shots, I decided to get a little artsy...
The foliage is just getting started in New England, and I've heard and read a lot about how great it should be this year. Something about how having rain nearly every day in June is going to make the colors spectacular. We'll see.
This next photo shows off Memorial Bridge in Portsmouth, NH. It connects Portsmouth and Kittery, ME, giving people driving along Route 1 a way to get across the Piscataqua River. Take a look at this website to read about it's endangered status.
