I was able to make it to my first Patriots training camp practice of 2008 this evening. They've been at it since Thursday, but due to weather and my work schedule, this was the first practice I was able to photograph and it was fun.
Since I don't have any connections with the sports media, meaning I can't get any press credentials to photograph the games, this is the closest I'm able to get to the Patriots during the season.
I was in New Hampshire for the weekend and had some good photos I was thinking about posting here, but then I got home and snapped a shot of this juvenile cardinal. It's the best photo of the weekend by far. I particularly like the detail in the bird's feathers.
I took this photo last week after throwing some ice in my glass of water. While I was drinking I started to notice that there were all sorts of air bubbles that seemed to be trying to escape from the ice. Naturally I stopped drinking the water and spent about 20 minutes taking photos of it. This is the end result.
Also, I'm pretty much done with updating the look of the website. I still plan on doing something else with the navigation menu, but just about everything else is finished. Hope you like it.
I've been working on refurbishing this website for the past few days. It's not a huge change... mostly just colors, plus a new flash header at the top of each page, and new images for the title of each page. The content is the same for now, but I will be adding a few new things to the mix during the next month or so.
There is still some work to be done, especially with the look of the blog posts and archives. And I plan on doing something else with the main navigation menu. Most of the pages you look at are good to go, and those that aren't will be all set in a couple of days

I've started going through the photo database on my computer in an attempt to add searchable tags to the thousands of photos that are stored in there. It's a pain in the ass to get it all set up, but in the long run this will make it much easier to find what I'm looking for.
As I work on that project I keep coming across photos that I want to play with in Photoshop. This photo was taken in the middle of October last year and it looked pretty good in color. After converting it to black and white and adjusting the levels I think it looks much better, so I decided to show it off.
