And It Rained

http://www.gregburt.com/blogimages/2007/03/Rainy%20Workers-thumb.jpgIt wasn't so much of a winter storm around here as it was a flooding rain. The ground is mostly frozen so the water had nowhere to go but the streets, rivers, streams, ponds, etc. The picture here was the scene near my house as highway department workers were clearing out street drains.

Tomorrow night (Saturday) just after sunset there will be a full lunar eclipse. On the east coast of the U.S. the moon will be fully eclipsed as it rises. It will all be over by about 7:00 EST. If you've never seen a lunar eclipse before, I'd suggest making an effort to see it. The moon will be either orange or red during the eclipse as it reflects all the sunrise and sunset light from all over the earth. You'll like it. If you don't get a chance to see it, I should get some pictures of it that I'll post here.
