I was looking for things to take photos of this afternoon and I couldn't find anything. The flowers have pretty much run their course and the woodchuck that lives in my back yard runs for cover at any hint of noise. So, I decided to do some self portrait work. I realize that I'm not the hottest model around, but you'll just have to take what you can get.
I just got back from my tenting trip on Umbagog Lake. I'm a bit worn out, so I haven't gone through the whole process of organizing and editing my photos from the trip. More photos will be online tomorrow.
What you see here is a photo of one of the eagles that lives on the lake. I was able to take a kayak to within 10 feet of the tree this bird was perched on. I wish I had a more powerful telephoto lens, but you can still see the eyeball so I guess that's good enough.
I will be camping in northern New Hampshire on Lake Umbagog for the next few days. When I get back, hopefully I'll have some great nature photos to show you.
