Canadian Seagull

http://www.gregburt.com/blogimages/2006/04/toronto%20seagull-thumb.jpgBecause the weather didn't cooperate when I was in Toronto last weekend, I wasn't able to get any worthwhile shots of the city's skyline. The fog was hanging low and visibility was awful. Every tall building was engulfed in fog, and the rain prevented me from taking a walking tour of the downtown area.

The only pictures I got in the city were from a beach on Lake Ontario. The wind was whipping as the temperature was in the 40s. My hands were numb after about 10 minutes of taking photos. The best part was the picture you see in this post. There were a couple of seagulls flying in place (kind of like running in place) as they looked in the water for food. It was almost like they were posing for me. Unfortunately my focus was a little off because of my numb hands so this picture won't look great as a large print, but it looks pretty good at the larger size you'll see by clicking on the thumbnail.
