I planted my flower garden a little over a month ago and the flowers are doing quite well. The dianthus are having some trouble, but the rest are looking very healthy.

Yesterday when I was making lunch a jumping spider flew in front of my face and snagged a moth that was sitting on a cabinet door. My nose was no more than a foot from the cabinet at the time. I have no good photos of the jumping spiders, but there are a few of them living in my apartment right now so I'm likely to get a cool shot of one sooner or later. While you may think it's time to squish them, I actually like having this species of spider around. They don't spin webs and they get rid of the bugs I really don't want flying around the apartment. On top of that, they look pretty cool. When I finally get a good photo of one, I'll post it here.
I did some kayaking in New Hampshire yesterday, which is a really nice way to take nature photos. Of course there's the challenge of keeping the camera dry, but it survived.

A little over a week ago my external hard drive where I keep all my photos died. I have all my photos backed up on dvd, but it was still a hassle to have to buy a new hard drive and transfer all the back ups onto it. So now things are back to normal as far as photo storage goes, and it's time to post some new stuff.
I'm spending part of the holiday weekend in New Hampshire and I'm making an effort to get some good outdoors shots while I'm here. I have this chipmunk photo to share now and when I get home I'll probably work on getting a few more photos posted.

I got a couple of nice shots while planting my flower garden, which has a nice variety of flowers this year
